Marigot Beach Club and Dive Resort recently received a letter of thanks from the Lucian Aid Foundation for our contributions to this month’s food drive, which the Lucian Aid Foundation organises regularly to help put food into the mouths of some of St Lucia’s most needy citizens.
The Foundation provides meals every week to senior citizens and underprivileged children, with the emphasis of this assistance currently being centered on the east coast of St Lucia.
The food drives are designed for locals to help those in need, with contributing businesses and individuals donating dry foods at Castries Town Hall where supporters can also choose to leave a financial contribution, if they so wish.
Even the smallest donations can do a lot of good. Donations of items like rice, sugar, flour, milk, cereal, peas, juice, pasta etc can help enormously. Marigot Beach Club’s contribution this month included flour, rice, pasta, sugar and milk.
“We are asking persons to help us by supporting this worthy cause”, said LucianAid President, Sirnatira Peter. “The generosity of our people when others are in need continues to amaze me still.”
