Sightseeing In St Lucia

St Lucia is an incredibly beautiful island with dense areas of lush tropical rainforest, stunning beaches, spectacular waterfalls and even a drive-through volcano, with sulphur springs where you can bathe and enjoy the health benefits of the rich minerals literally oozing out of the earth.

The island also has many sites of historical importance, including Pigeon Island National Park and the old French capital of St Lucia, Soufriere.

The best way to enjoy St Lucia’s sights and attractions is as part of an organised tour with experienced guides who will be able to show you sights that you may not discover on your own. Indeed, St Lucia’s interior rainforest is a protected area and it’s strictly forbidden to visit without the consent of the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, so it’s essential that you only visit this area with an approved guide.

We’ve chosen four of our favourite organised tours for our ‘activities’ section, but you can discover a good many more at St Lucia’s main tourism website, www.stlucia.org.
